Working
with a nervous editor in Milan... As I was shooting, a large
crowd gathered behind the model, and also formed a
"corridor, between the model, and me. The editor kept
screaming to "quit shooting" because the magazine would not
use any photos with other people appearing in the
pix.
Now, I try to be a
"charming," and easy-going guy, but sometimes I just ignore
what an editor yells at me.
In this instance, as
in virtually every similar instance (when an editor told me
not to shoot), the resulting photo was used as the "opener"
for the feature (generally running as a two-page spread. I
shoot lots of horizontals).
